Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 27, 2026
OnlineMBTITest is operated by DaonLabs, which is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Questions about your data, and any request to use the rights described below, go to DaonLabs at support@onlinembtitest.com.
1. Information We Collect
OnlineMBTITest does not require account creation or personal registration. We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide our service:
- Quiz Responses: Your answers to the 60-question personality assessment are processed entirely in your browser. We do not store your quiz responses on our servers. When a test is finished we keep one anonymous statistical row: the four scores, the test language, the country the request came from and the day. It contains no name, account, IP address, cookie or device value, and cannot be linked to you.
- Usage Data: We may collect anonymous analytics data such as pages visited, time on site, and browser type to improve our service.
- Contact Form Data: If you contact us via the contact form, we receive your name, email address, and message.
- Cookies: We use cookies for preferences (e.g., language, theme) and for advertising purposes through Google AdSense.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide and improve the personality test service
- To respond to your contact form inquiries
- To serve relevant advertisements through Google AdSense
- To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve the site
3. Google AdSense
OnlineMBTITest uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. For more information, see Google's Advertising Privacy Policy.
4. Third-Party Services
These are the companies involved in running OnlineMBTITest. Google is the only one that sets a cookie on your device; the others process data for the job named beside them.
- Google: AdSense shows the ads and Google Analytics counts the visits. Neither loads until you accept that category in the cookie banner, and the two are separate choices.
- Neon: The database, used only if you create an account. It holds your email address, a hash of your password, the results you saved, and your download history.
- Resend: Sends our email: sign-up verification, password resets, deletion confirmations, dormant-account and return-visit notices. It also delivers contact form messages to the operator's Zoho Mail inbox, where they stay until we delete them.
- Have I Been Pwned: When you sign up or set a new password, we check it against Have I Been Pwned's list of passwords exposed in data breaches. Only the first five characters of a one-way hash of the password are sent. The password itself and its full hash never leave our server, so the service never learns which password it was.
5. Cookies
OnlineMBTITest uses the following types of cookies:
- Functional cookies: Store your theme (light/dark) and language preferences
- Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors use the site
- Advertising cookies: Used by Google AdSense to serve relevant ads
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect site functionality.
6. Data Retention
Quiz responses are never stored on our servers. The anonymous statistical rows described in section 1 identify no one and are kept as statistics. Contact form data is retained only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry. Analytics data is retained in aggregate, anonymized form.
7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Right to access your personal data
- Right to request deletion of your data
- Right to opt out of the sale of personal information (CCPA)
- Right to data portability
- Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
9. Contact

10. European Union — Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) grants you the following rights regarding your personal data:
We use your IP address solely to determine your approximate country of origin in order to display relevant product recommendations. Your IP address is processed transiently and is never stored, logged, or shared with third parties.
Legal Basis for Processing
- Legitimate Interest: We process anonymized analytics data to improve the service.
- Consent: We use advertising cookies (Google AdSense) based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the cookie banner or browser settings.
Your Rights
- Right of Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to Erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data where there is no compelling reason for its continued processing.
- Right to Data Portability: You may request your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Right to Restriction of Processing: You may request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to Object: You may object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Data Retention Periods
- Quiz responses: never stored on our servers (processed in-browser only). Anonymous result counts hold no personal data and are kept as statistics.
- Contact form submissions: retained for up to 12 months to respond to inquiries, then deleted
- Analytics data: retained in anonymized aggregate form
- Advertising cookies: governed by Google's retention policies (up to 13 months)
Supervisory Authority: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local EU data protection supervisory authority. A list of EU supervisory authorities is available at edpb.europa.eu.

11. California Residents — Your Rights Under the CCPA, as Amended by the CPRA
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the rights set out below.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share it with Google for advertising when you accept advertising cookies, which California calls sharing. Your IP address is used only to work out your country and is discarded straight after.
Do we sell or share your personal information?
We do not sell it. Nobody pays us for it and we do not trade it for anything else of value.
We do share it, in the specific sense California gives that word: disclosing personal information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising, whether or not money changes hands. When you accept advertising cookies, Google AdSense reads cookie and device identifiers, an approximate location worked out from your IP address, and the pages you open here, and uses them to choose ads for you on other sites. That is sharing. Telling you only that we do not sell would be answering a question you did not ask.
That is the whole of it. No other category, no other recipient, no other purpose. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
- Right to Know: You may ask what personal information we collect, use, disclose and share, and who receives it. We collect usage data, whatever you type into the contact form (name, email, message), and cookie identifiers used for analytics and advertising.
- Right to Correct: You may ask us to correct personal information you believe is wrong. We hold so little that most corrections turn out to be a deletion instead.
- Right to Delete: You may request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing: You can switch sharing off whenever you want. Three controls do the same thing: the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, the link at the foot of every page, and the advertising category in the cookie settings. Any of them stops the advertising code loading in this browser.
- Right to Limit Sensitive Personal Information: There is nothing here for this right to act on. We collect none of the categories California calls sensitive: no precise location, no government identifier, no financial account, no health, race, religion or union membership, and no contents of your messages. Your quiz answers stay in your own browser.
- Non-Discrimination: We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights. The site works the same either way, and turning advertising off does not take anything away from it.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser or an extension sends the Sec-GPC signal, we read it as an opt-out of sharing and act on it before the page is drawn. No click, no account, nothing to set up. It applies to the browser sending it, so another browser or another device needs its own signal or its own opt-out. While the signal is on, advertising stays off even if the cookie settings say otherwise.
How long we keep each kind of data is listed in the retention section above, and it applies to California residents in the same way.

If you create a free account to save results or export reports, the following retention rules apply:
