Who Runs This Site
OnlineMBTITest is built and maintained by one person. This page says what that means for what you read here.
I built this site and I keep it running on my own. There is no editorial team and no company behind it. The site is here so that anyone can take a free personality test in their own language and read what their four letters are usually taken to mean. When a page is wrong, or a reader writes in to say a description does not fit, I go back and change it. I am not a psychologist. I have no clinical training, and this site has no connection to The Myers-Briggs Company or to anyone who owns a personality assessment.
Nothing here is a psychological assessment. Read it as a starting point for reflection, not as diagnosis, treatment, or a verdict on who you are. It is no substitute for advice from a qualified mental health professional, and if you are worried about your wellbeing, please talk to one.
The About page covers where the four-letter framework comes from and how the sixty questions are scored.
How the test works
The sixty questions are written by hand, and so is the code that scores them. Each question belongs to one of the four preference pairs and moves a running total, and the arithmetic runs in your browser. Once all sixty are answered, the side each total leans toward gives one letter of your type. The sixteen type names, the career lists and the compatibility bands are stored as data files.
Reporting a mistake
The contact form reaches my inbox. Send the address of the page and the sentence that is wrong, which is enough to find it. Factual errors and translations that change the meaning get fixed first. A description that simply does not fit you is worth sending as well: a profile that several readers call wrong is a profile that needs rewriting, not defending.
How this site pays for itself
Advertising, and nothing else. There are no affiliate links anywhere on this site, no sponsored placements, and nothing is recommended here in exchange for money. Nobody has paid to change what a page says, and there is no arrangement under which they could. The test is free, there is no paid tier, and there is nothing to buy.
What happens to your answers
Your answers are scored in your browser and are not sent anywhere. A result is stored on this site only if you sign in and save it, and a saved result or the whole account can be deleted from your dashboard. The privacy policy sets out the rest.
